TutorOS Privacy Policy

TutorOS is developed by Ayan Naskar under Nexelion. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, and profile picture when you sign up or sign in with Google.
• Usage data: batch details, student records, fee payment status, schedules, and messages you create within the app.
• Device token: a Firebase Cloud Messaging token to deliver push notifications to your device.
• Uploaded content: notes and images you upload as a teacher are stored in your personal Google Drive via Google Drive API.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the TutorOS service.
• To send fee reminders and class notifications to students.
• To power AI-based features such as note retrieval, schedule suggestions, and fee reminder messages using Google Gemini.
• To store and organize notes in your Google Drive account.

Google Services

TutorOS uses Google Sign-In and Google Drive API. When you sign in with Google, we request access to your Google Drive to store notes you upload. Files are stored in a folder named "TutorOS Notes" in your own Drive account. We do not access any other Drive files. Your use of Google services is also governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS ap-south-1). Notes are stored in your personal Google Drive. We use Firebase Cloud Messaging solely for push notifications.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties except as necessary to operate the service (Supabase, Google Firebase, Google Gemini AI). All third-party services are bound by their own privacy policies.

Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Deleting your account permanently removes all your data from our servers. Notes in your Google Drive must be deleted manually.

Children's Privacy

TutorOS is intended for use by tutors and students. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without parental consent. Students under 13 should only use the app under teacher or parental supervision.

Your Rights

• Access and export your data by contacting us.
• Delete your account and all associated data from within the app.
• Revoke Google Drive access at any time from your Google account settings.
